Memorial Biography

Dr. Frank Flores was a teacher. He taught so many students in the classroom about language and theater. These subjects are fitting for him. He was all about communication and performance. He spoke eloquently and gently. But he taught best by living his life gracefully.  A life full of grace. He was gracious to people. A student was once always cutting classes and Frank's first words would be, "I wonder what that student is going through?" Frank Flores always tried to see the best in people.

He lived a life showered by grace. God's grace. During the war, he survived a concentration camp. As a teenager, he had to bury his murdered father. He spent time alone in the streets and looked for his family that was scattered during the war. In all this, he credits God for seeing him through. He grew up in an atheistic household in America. But as a young man, he was baptized a Christian, fittingly, by a river.

Frank Flores was a loving husband. He showered his wife with love and respect. He enjoyed their verbal jousts as two professors and even when May had had enough, he would tirelessly follow her around the house in order to bring his point across. But he would always punctuate his points with, "Right, honey?"

He was also a loving father to his daughter, Mia, and his son, Emil. He was always there for them when they needed him. He led his children by example. From him, they learned honesty, integrity, patience, and the importance of showing kindness, compassion and helping those in need. His children thank and praise their Heavenly Father for graciously loving them through their earthly father.

Frank also left behind two grandchildren, Jamie and Steven. They loved their Lolo very much.

Frank is now in the loving embrace of the Heavenly Father who has wiped away all his tears. He is with his Master and Savior, Jesus. He's just marveling at the unspeakable beauty and joy that he is experiencing in the eternal presence of the Most High. Just imagine him saying in his smooth and gentle voice, "This is much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined."

"Right, honey?"
